How pip value is calculated

A pip is 0.0001 for most pairs and 0.01 for JPY pairs (0.1 for gold in this calculator). Pip value in the quote currency is pip size × units, where one standard lot is 100,000 units (100 ounces for XAU/USD). If your account is in the base currency, divide by the price; if it's in a third currency, multiply by the quote-to-account conversion rate.
